We were fortunate to be in Broome to see a once a month occurring phenomenon referred to as the Staircase to the moon. This occurs when there is a full moon and a low tide over the mudflats of Broome. It is very difficult to fully capture it on a camera by an amateur (we have it on a bookmark taken by a professional) but here is the best we can do under the circumstances.
I could not resist a daytime shot of the camels with a car in front.
A photo of the colourfully attired travelling grey nomads. We are completely decked out in our op shop clothes picked up in Broome
- except for Andrew's footwear - mine are op shop too but those were acquired in a Port Douglas op shop. Andrew bought some less colourful tee shirts but for this photo we both wore our brightest - to cheer everyone up.
