This is a very nice road, with a mixture of forest and farmlands.
We stayed a night at Greens Island which is in the middle of the tall karri trees. It is a particularly pleasant camping area 26 km west of Manjimup.
We had a fire in the deep fire pits provided. It was one of those fireplaces with a flat top that swivels over the fire pit so we had our beautiful Bulgogi Korean Style BBQ pork fillet from Aldi for dinner then bacon and eggs in the morning. We had half a bottle of the sensational shiraz we bought at Woody Nook which accompanied the perfectly cooked pork together with a stir-fried veggie pile. The very best bacon and eggs are cooked on a flat plate over a bbq.
The remains of One Tree Bridge. It was constructed from a single karri log carefully felled to span the width of the river. It was rendered unusable by the floods in 1966.
You see many dams on farmland. But this dam had a little jetty and stairs down to the water so people could have easy access for recreational swimming.
Looks like you're getting nice weather. Just wanted to let you know that Tim is now an Associate Professor
