We next visited the little township of Mullewa where the whole district comes alive in late winter and spring each year with dramatic displays of wildflowers which brighten both the road verges and the surrounding bushland. The flowers form vivid swaying carpets with a blaze of colour. Here are photos of more wonderful varieties. We cannot believe the amazing variety of flowers we are seeing. It may be that I am duplicating some? We did two special wildflower walks in Mullewa - the Mullewa bushland trail and the Mullewa wildflower walk. We saw a variety of different species on each trail.
