Porongurup National Park

Having left Albany, we went to the Porongurup NP where we climbed, and climbed, and climbed the relentless 2.2km uphill trail to reach Castle Rock.

The rocks at the top.

The balancing rock - the enormous granite rock carefully balancing on another larger rock.

The view from the top in both directions.

The very top where you climb on iron ladders and stand on the terrace.

There is Andrew standing there.

After lunch, not having had enough of a bush walk, Andrew set off on another 7km hike to reach, amongst other peaks, Marmabup Rock after climbing the Devil's Slide.

Another view of the rock.

The top of the Devil's Slide.
