Quagi Beach

This is a photo of Ravensthorpe which brought back strong memories of March earlier this year a few days after we had crossed the border into WA and just a few days before the announcement of the likely closure of the internal borders.  We sat here, in this very spot, trying to decided what to do and making the decision to head straight up to Geraldton and the warmer weather.  It was, looking back, an excellent decision.  It allowed us exactly that, enjoyment of a warmer climate and the security and safety of three months in a very pleasant town.  Having experienced the inclement climate of the southwest, we are very pleased we did not suffer the winter months here but up north.

From Ravensthorpe, on the way to Esperance, we stayed at Quagi Beach which involved an 8 km dirt road drive in.  Reasonably corrugated but the campground was a nice one with easy access to the beach.  If only we had the weather to enjoy beach going.

The beach further up.

A stark burnt tree.
