These are three photos of Rio Vista, the magnificent private house of the Chaffey Brothers, Americans who set up the irrigation system to run in parts of SA in the 1870s. It was a very daring and enterprising venture which took a lot time to bear fruit. The photos have been loaded back to front as Google has changed its software and I am finding it difficult to get used to the new way of doing the blog. The photo above is of the stainglass windows in the staircase. Below it the staircase.
